Mahmudiye Kalyonu İznik Tile Plate

One of the largest and most magnificent galleons of the Ottoman Navy, the Mahmudiye Galleon reflects the splendor of maritime history. The pattern is adapted from the İznik tile plate exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. The new arrangement of the pattern belongs to Serap Ereyli and İznik Blue Tile.

Installation Recommendations:

  • Iznik Tiles can be hung on the wall by placing them in a wooden frame or by sticking them on a transparent plexiglass sheet.
  • If the Iznik tiles are to be installed on a wall or floor surface (e.g., in a bathroom, kitchen, or other area), MasterTile FLX 24 adhesive is recommended. The most important point to remember during installation is to avoid leaving any gaps (joints) between the tiles. After gluing, the spaces between the tiles should be filled with adhesive mortar, and the surface should be cleaned after it dries.
  • If the Iznik tiles are to be applied to a steel or metal construction surface, a suitable steel adhesive must be used.

This Iznik tile & ceramic, like tiles produced during the Ottoman period, contains a high percentage of quartz and is entirely handcrafted. A glossy glaze is applied to the final layer.

Iznik tiles are delivered in a velvet box along with a wooden or plexiglass stand, while Iznik ceramics are presented in a velvet box.

Since it is hand painted, slight differences in patterns or glaze may occur.

It is designed for decorative purposes and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
