Green Mosque

Commissioned by Candarli Halil Hayreddin Pasha in 1378 and completed by his son Ali Pasha in 1392, the Green Mosque in Iznik features a minaret decorated with yellow, green, purple, and turquoise-glazed tiles in mosaic form. In 2015, Iznik Mavi Cini reproduced the stolen and eroded relief and star-prism tiles, restoring the mosque’s original beauty.
