Cifte Minareli Madrasa
Located in Erzurum and built in 1253 by Hudavent Hatun, daughter of Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I, the Cifte Minareli Medrese (Twin Minaret Madrasa) is one of the most significant monuments of Anatolian Seljuk architecture.
In 2012, Iznik Mavi Cini produced 22.500 tiles using cut-stone and single-color glaze techniques in turquoise and manganese purple tones. These were shaped as stars, squares, hexagons, and pentagons, creating mosaics that authentically revived the original Seljuk patterns.
