The Lady Taurus series is an original example of the artist's production practice where she brings together traditional ceramic techniques with contemporary sculptural language. In these sculptures, Uras draws her inspiration from ritual vessel forms found in Far Eastern ceramic tradition. These historical forms are reshaped in the artist's interpretation, transforming into both powerful and symbolic body representations.
The body and decoration production of the ceramic sculptures designed in contrasting colors, along with their tile pedestals, were carried out in our workshop. The Lady Taurus series is permanently exhibited in the spa & wellness centre section of The Peninsula Istanbul Hotel.
